🚸 Ages 6-12 Years Old

The Trinity is a challenging concept to understand, even for adults! Attempts to explain or analogize it often dissemble into accidental heresy, even with the best of comparison intentions. It is still important to introduce children to the Trinity, though, and to describe it in terms of how God loves and cares for us. If the “three in one” idea is tough for youngsters to comprehend, remind them that there are some things beyond our total understanding, and that’s okay! God is all the more powerful and amazing because He is mysterious.

Lesson focus: In this lesson, students will contemplate the meaning of the Trinity. God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, all at the same time and yet distinct in the three persons. Students will consider some common examples that describe the Trinity, as well as Scripture that verifies it. Children will also be encouraged to consider how, despite our efforts, the Trinity is a mystery that we might not fully understand this side of Heaven.

Arr I ate the free lesson… I do Children's church time for 2-5 Yr olds but not Sunday School. So I don’t get lesson books. I obtain items out of my pocket.

The Sunday School Lessons

Fantastic series. So easy to follow. I love the games and crafts. What I really like the most is the lesson plans are for ages 6-9. We have a very small Wednesday night Bible group with mixed ages and this lesson is perfect for the age differences. Highly recommend these lessons.

Excellent curriculum

I stretched this lesson into two Sundays so we had time for the crafts and s’mores snack. The kids loved it and fully understood that the Trinity is 3 in 1. They liked the ice, water, and steam visual. I teach children’s church 3-14 year-olds so the age diversity is huge, but all the children enjoyed the lessons.
